Pogo pin connector, also known as a spring-loaded pin connector, is a type of electrical connector designed to provide reliable and temporary contact between two surfaces. It consists of a metal pin with a spring mechanism that allows it to extend and retract, maintaining consistent pressure and contact even under movement, vibration, or misalignment.
1. Spring-Loaded Mechanism
Each pin contains a plunger (contact tip) and a spring inside a barrel. When pressed against a contact pad, the spring compresses, ensuring consistent pressure for a stable electrical connection. The spring automatically retracts when disconnected, protecting the pin from damage.
